What You Can Do To Help
There are several things you can do to help:
Have one of our speakers come and make a presentation to your organization about the need for this change. We have speakers available, and have already made presentations at a number of organizations throughout the state. We welcome the opportunity to come to you and educate your organization about this proposed legislation. We have materials available as well. So please call and find out what we can do for you and your organization! For more information, please contact Kristin Parks at 919-451-2324 or by email at kris.parks@disabilityrightsnc.org. Educate your community about the need for this legislation. We have materials, including a Power Point presentation, available for your use. For more information, please contact Kristin Parks at 919-451-2324 or by email at kris.parks@disabilityrightsnc.org. Visit or call/write your state senator and urge him/her to support Senate Bill 309. Then visit or call or email your state representative to urge them to support House Bill 137. If you would like some talking points or guidance on what information to provide your legislator, please contact Kristin Parks at 919-451-2324 or by email at kris.parks@disabilityrightsnc.org.
