Know Your Rights About MH/DD/SA Service Reductions and Terminations  
If your services in the community have been reduced, terminated or denied, you have a right to appeal that decision. How you appeal depends on how your services are funded. Please click on the appropriate link below to learn more about how to appeal. Does The Medicaid Appeal Process Apply To Me or My Family Member? Yes, if you or your family member asked for or if you already get mental health, developmental disability, or substance abuse (MH/DD/SA) services through Medicaid. Yes, if you have asked for or if you already get services through one of the CAP Waivers. Yes, if you have asked for medical equipment from Medicaid or from one of the CAP waivers. No, if you have asked for a state-funded service. Appeals of state-funded services are handled by your LME.
