Upcoming DATE Trainings
The Disability Advocacy Training Exchange (DATE) program was created by Disability Rights NC to train volunteers across the state to support the self-advocacy efforts of people with disabilities and their families. All volunteers must complete a two-part training. The training includes tips on how to be an effective self-advocate and how to support the self-advocacy efforts of people with disabilities.
Previous participants in DATE trainings have said:
"Great training! I feel better prepared to advocate for myself and looking forward to helping people with disabilities advocate for themselves."
"I consider myself a strong self-advocate and I still learned a lot of new things in this training."
**Note that each training is two parts -- you must attend both evenings of the training.**
